How to build a garden path like a pro!
I just bought the 200 high steel. It doesn't have those slits in it though? What do I attach it together with please?
Show us the knots! Slowly. And how to do the final tensioning and knotting is the most important and difficult task. And you guys just glossed over it.
عمل مدهش ❤
mine gets stuck just spraying to the left - doesnt swing back. Any ideas
Curious.. what were the flathead screwdrivers used for? Wondering if this is a tool thats actually needed or if im missing something
Is this good for a boxer dog that jump fences?
Can you paint these rings? Cheers
Hi there! Yes our Oxy-Shield products can be painted. We suggest that a thin layer of prime coating be applied followed by the desired finishing coat. Also, be sure to use paint for metal.
@@meetdiyjack great thanks 👍
Where do you get the steel posts?
Awesome thank diy jack ❤
thanks!
Excellent video!
How would I attach this to brick work?…. Exterior wall of my house ?
G'day, can the fence be wire mesh fence? I has a dog compound and the dog gets out by either jumping over it or wrecking the wire mesh. So, can I just energise the existing wire mesh compound? Also, is the unit totally weather proof? Ta.
Hi there, thanks for querying. Only a single line of wire can be electrified - it won’t distribute over mesh and then electrify the entire area. There are a number of units that are designed for all weather conditions.
@@maisieaguilar1303 Thanks for your answer. Is this unit waterproof?
Pish
Hi. Please can you slowly explain the Knot that was tied at the very end to maintain the tension of all the lines!? It will be much appreciated. Thank you.
It seems this havent tied the a knot his whole life 😂😂😂😂 r u a wimp or what? Its self explanatory 😂😂😂
ffs show us the knot
wheres the rest ?? still waiting to see how you change the batteries in it, cant find any information online or on the websity=e about it
We just bought the green 30 mm line which seems thicker than the one on the video, so tightening and tying it is much harder.
Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. The clothesline used on above project is a poly core, which would be a little easier to install than the green one you purchased, which is a wire core. However, the green ones have a stronger hold. If you'd like more information, you can visit our website how to blog advice here for tips: meetjack.com.au/inspiration-and-advice/post/how-to-restring-a-snapped-or-worn-rotary-clothesline/ Feel free to email us, if you'd like to share some photos of your work. We may be able to share those on our website and socials. Thanks again!
Where is that from Bunnings ?
Can we see the update? I'd like to see what the trellis looks like with plants.
did the water in the post hole affect the concrete? I am wondering if I should wait for decent weather before setting 8 posts in the ground or just go ahead while we're having intermittent heavy rains on a daily basis
Hi there, the Retain iT wall we built (this was over 10 years ago) is still standing and solid today. You need to ensure even distribution of the dry mix and have the right amount of water (because excess water will reduce the strength of the mix). We removed some of the water to get it right. If there is any doubt due to weather concerns: Don’t proceed yet, OR Please contact your quick-set concrete manufacturer for more details
@@meetdiyjack Thanks for the advice. I think it's best I wait, even if I have to wait 11 months for June to roll around again
@@amogrows You're welcome! Once you build it, let us know. We'd love to see and possibly share your project on our social media pages. :)
@@meetdiyjack I am installing a 800mm high raised bed using (125 x 65) 1500mm galvanised parallel flange channel bolted together in pairs to achieve right angle corners. The PFC will be sunk 700mm in the ground. It's going to be a while before all eight are in the ground
@@amogrows Have you seen our Retain-iT corner posts in 1500mm height? These are perfect for corners. meetjack.com.au/product/retain-it-classic-50mm-system/ or meetjack.com.au/product/retain-it-classic-75mm-system/ watch our how-to video on raised garden bed here: meetjack.com.au/inspiration-and-advice/post/how-to-erect-a-raised-garden-bed-with-retain-it/
wall height: 600mm post height: 1200mm post hole depth: 700mm post hole diameter: 3 * the thickness of your post (100mm posts, 350-400) fill bottom with gravel so the post sits on the gravel and not in the water. if you dont care about the wall being perfectly straight, then just use old pallet wood to clamp each post into position. if you do care then you need to buy long straigh beams of wood and clamp the posts to the beam like this: ua-cam.com/video/NHnUkuIBaZI/v-deo.html because as the concrete cures, it will cause things to shift. so lock everything down tight.
i’m very keen on using this system. But it was unclear to me exactly how you screwed in the special brackets. Do you use a washer at all? Do you leave the big hole towards the outside and the smaller hole towards the wall? And indeed, why is there a small hole and a larger hole?
How do I Oder
Hi Alvaro, you can contact or visit your nearest Bunnings store. Click link or search for Oxy-Shield on the bunnings website: www.bunnings.com.au/search/products?q=oxy-shield&sort=BoostOrder&page=1 Otherwise, other major retailers like Mitre10 or Home Timber and Hardware may also stock them. Please double check. Thanks!
Available only in Australia and New Zealand
Hi mate, Great video, what could I used as a screen with flowers. Need to screen neighbour bins noise I have tried talking as bis very close to my bedroom. Thanks in advance
Thanks Des, to create more of a barrier you could try adding a climber style plant using our 3D trellis panel - meetjack.com.au/product/grip-3d-trellis-panel/ for a freestanding or mounted on fence options. Otherwise our Screen Up and Garden Up products may also work. meetjack.com.au/inspiration-and-advice/post/how-to-build-a-super-easy-privacy-screen/ or meetjack.com.au/product/screen-up-joiner-post/
Looking for the 90 degree posts at local Bunnings stores but nowhere to be found.
Hi M.F., The Bunnings website is pretty good these days at helping people find stock in stores. We've placed a link to the product below - just put your location in and you should be able to find stock nearest to you: www.bunnings.com.au/whites-1970mm-screen-up-corner-post_p1100966
I used these worked really well. Works best on level surface but apart from that which is not the products fault I can't say anything but good things.
Thanks for your feedback. 🙂
DIY for sure, defiantly not trade quality. People like you ruin the industry….
What can of anchor you use ? Thanks

Absolutely beautiful fantastic idea for plants
My Garden Sentinel does not stop spraying???
Hi Inge, the sprinkler should only be activated by movement and we would recommend returning to your place of purchase if there isn’t anything setting it off. Please remember branches or leaves or even shadows can create movement for the sensor and therefore activate the sentinel and it best to check that there isn’t something triggering the product.
Every piece is put together correctly...but when turned on the sprinkler does not stop?? Any answer for this?

This is a great idea thanks. I'm keen to do this. Where do we get those coils? I cant see them on Whites website or on Bunnings site
Hi Rachel, thanks for your query. The spiral connectors (coils) were sold separately at the time this video was made and posted. However, they're now a discontinued line. Currently, we do supply the Grip & Grow freestanding kit which includes the connectors to extend the freestanding frame. how do i make it rotate?
I can’t find this product on the bunnings website.
Is this still available in Sydney?
sadly no - sorry
Mt two local Bunnings haven’t had these for months - and I need at least four! Are they discontinued? I hope not, because there’s nothing else on the market that holds 17cm terracotta pots DEAD level on fences and walls. I LOVE these little wonders!,
sadly discontinued - they had a loyal but very small following
I'm trying to find something equivalent to this in the US. Is there a supplier who can ship these to the US?

Can the channels be used on fence posts? Will any timber that had the right measurements be able to slot in?
Hi g Man, the Screen Up channels can face-fit or side-fit timber posts. The channels are available to suit 16mm and 19mm timber slats. Learn more here: whitesgroup.com.au/category/landscaping-design/screen-up/
So can this system be used with three metre 50mm sleepers?
Hi - 50mm sleepers can warp more easily at that length. Certainly the sleepers will fit the Retain iT but you should check with your timber supplier as to how they believe the timber will perform in your area/environment.
